Looking back - Documenting

Sketch.

Jig for the Chairs since I had to make more than one.

Beginnings of the frames of the chairs.

Mocking up the chair frames with the wooden back and seat.

The chairs in process.  I am addings the 1/4" steel rod for aesthetics and for structure/strength of the frame.

Putting my table together.  I fabricated the legs the same way as the chairs.  Starting with a simple but elegant frame then adding the 1/4" rod for aesthetics and strength.  However, I made these legs separate from each other for the reason of being able to break the table down to a manageable travel/shipping size.  Each leg is slid into the bottom of the table top brace then only needs one bolt to hold it in.

This version was actually revised because the steel structures were cutting too far into the leg space area.

Bundling Sage.

I used some already dried bundles of desert sage and bundled that with new and fresh desert sage to plump up the bundles and to preserve the smell.  I will be putting the sage in the freezer until I need to use them for my show so that the moisture stays in the sage and retains the smell.

Sample Paper Collages for Dining Set

Business Card.

I created this image of a cactus and was thinking about cutting out this shape with my information on the back.  I thought it'd be a unique look for business cards and would stand out in a wallet.

Cool artist.

I love her work.  It's very illustrative and has a lot of character.  Very elegant and simple yet intriguing.  She also does a lot of 2D work.

Metal Cactus

Here are the rough cut-outs of a freestanding cactus I will be making.  It will be flat but I'm going to paint and draw on the surfaces to add dimension.  It will take on a more illustrative quality

Wall Pieces

Here is a sample piece of a wall.  I am making these pieces to mount my desert sage smudge sticks on for my senior show.  It is made out of Red Oak wood and then I painted on a layer of a white wash
